Description

The course is built to expand on more complex concepts from the fundamental concepts of engineering drawing. This begins by explaining the significance of an engineering drawing and explaining why the need has arisen for GD&T and then a deep dive into the GD&T concepts.

If you are a complete novice, the course will gradually evolve in terms of concepts to capture GD&T's core tenets.

If you are a seasoned professional, then you will benefit from the latter sections of the course.

Geometric dimensioning and tolerance is a body of information and a symbolic language that is used to express design intent for development and inspection of an engineering drawing.

In this course, you will learn how the core concepts of GD&T are formulated precisely and why they are applied with different examples to drawings. You will understand and appreciate the importance of language over the standard method of dimensioning and learn the possibilities of using different combinations of symbols and controls to control the variations of the pieces.

This course is covered with all following topics :

Overall view of what an engineering drawing is and why it's essential.

The need for GD&T then moved towards the GD&T introductory concepts.

A comprehensive comparison of the traditional tolerance method versus GD&T

A thorough look at the most important concept in GD&T, Dates, How are they created? How are they implemented? And what does the drawing mean?

A detailed look at the tolerance of Bonus and the notion of virtual condition that plays a key role in the parts of Mating.

Explanation of Symbols and their methods of inspection

The course is designed in such a way that each and every point is captured as a sub-theme with several short lectures that are condensed information to the point.
